ABC Council

The ABC Council comprises 33 key figures in the media industry. They represent the interests of media buyers, advertisers and media owners.

The ABC Council meets 4 times a year to review strategy, fees and the Reporting Standards. All Council decisions are made by consensus, meaning that both buyers and sellers of advertising are in agreement to any decisions made.

The ABC Council comprises an independent Chairman, five permanent trade body members and 27 elected members. Elections take place every 2 years and members are eligible to vote for the representative for their sector.

The Reporting Standards Groups make recommendations to the ABC Council for each of their sectors.

In addition a Management Committee meets 5 times a year to oversee the running of ABC.
