eAlerts is a free and personalized email service from ABC which keeps you up to date with information on:

  • notification of newly issued certificates
  • audit reports
  • changes in membership status
  • notification of any resolved complaints
  • details of any exclusion notices issued by ABC

You can pre-select areas of interest and choose how often to receive the updates.

How do I set up My eAlerts?

eAlerts are available to registered visitors to the site. Once you are logged in the process consists of 5 easy steps:

  1. Select the type of notification you are interested in. More than one option can be chosen:
    • Newly released certificates
    • Membership status changes (products joining or leaving ABC)
    • Audit report (certificates that have been published but following audit have been formally revised)
    • Complaints (details of upheld complaints against an ABC member or claim)
    • Exclusions (details of any excluded issues which have been agreed by ABC)
  2. Select the frequency of eAlert emails from ABC. You can choose to receive updates daily, weekly or monthly.
  3. Select Products.  The default is set to advise you about all products. However, if you wish to refine the range of products you receive information about, click this option.
  4. Save your settings. If you have chosen to select a range of products, you will now be passed to a 'report builder' page. Here you can select a range of products under one or more of the following options:
    • Product Type - e.g. Consumer Magazines; Regional Publications; Online Properties
    • Product - pick specific products (e.g. a title) if there are only one or two that you are interested in
    • Market Sector - you can select all products that fall within one or more defined market sectors
    • Geography - most applicable to newspaper products, this allows you to select products which distribute primarily in a county or country
    • Media Owner - choose to only receive information from a certain publisher or online media owner for example.
  5. Select confirm.

That's it, you're done. Your eAlerts are now set and ready to go. Your eAlert emails will commence from the next available time period according to the frequency you requested.
