Cookie Reports

We have chosen to work with Cookie Reports Limited to help our members work towards compliance with the EU’s new online privacy law. The EU Directive on cookies, effective in the UK from 26 May 2011, puts a new compliance burden on website owners, including owners of sites delivered by third parties.
Understanding how many cookies are set to browsers accessing your site, whether you really need them, and how to meet the requirements of the legislation can consume significant staff and management time.
The advice from the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) with respect to the new law makes it clear that owners must be aware of all cookies set to browsers accessing their site, whether set by them, or as is often the case, set by third parties.

All ABC members will be provided with a free summary report offering a count of the cookies currently in place on one of their sites. Members can also request a summary for each of their sites, which will be provided free of charge.
As part of the free summary report, members will also be provided with a detailed breakdown of each website's estate.
Knowledge gathered by Cookie Reports to date has found that organisations have some 41% more sites than they were aware of – removing historic/out of date sites that are no longer in use, or perhaps just forgotten, can have an immediate impact on compliance as well as delivering a direct cost benefit.
We have also negotiated a significant 23% discount off the list price for members wishing to either request full audit reports or take advantage of Cookie Reports' on-going monitoring service. Find out more information on Cookie Reports
