Cyber Essentials

We’re Cyber Essentials certified which confirms our compliance with the requirements of the UK Government's Cyber Essentials Scheme.

Cyber Essentials is a cyber security standard that organisations can be assessed and certified against. The scheme is designed to help protect organisations, whatever their size, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks.

Achieving our Cyber Essentials Certification delivers:

  • A promise to our stakeholders that we have cyber security measures in place.
  • Reassurance to customers that we take cyber security seriously.
  • A listing on the directory of compliant organisations.

ICAEW Authorised Training Employer

We’re an authorised ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) training employer. This accreditation demonstrates that we offer high quality training to any of our staff who wish to gain qualifications available under the scheme, including ultimately the ACA. The ACA is a rigorous qualification for those wishing to become Chartered Accountants, and is valued around the world in business, practice and the public sector.

Living Wage Employer

We’re an accredited Living Wage Employer.

This means that every member of staff at ABC earns a real Living Wage; an independently calculated hourly rate of pay that’s based on the actual cost of living.

The real Living Wage is higher than the government’s Minimum or National Living Wage and is announced annually by the Living Wage Foundation.

Whilst we’re a non-profit distributing company, we recognise that these are challenging financial times. Undergoing this accreditation helps us ensure we’re doing our best to support all our employees, both those directly employed by ABC and our third party contracted staff.

NetZero

We're committed to reducing our environmental impact through measurable, transparent action. By monitoring, reducing and reporting our greenhouse gas emissions each year, we're able to make informed decisions and continuously improve our environmental performance.

As part of this commitment, we've joined the SME Climate Hub, aligning with the United Nations Race to Zero campaign and publicly pledging to measure our emissions, reduce them in line with a net zero pathway and offset residual emissions.

Since establishing our emissions baseline in 2021, we've reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by 27% and have now completed five consecutive years of greenhouse gas reporting. Our emissions are measured in accordance with the internationally recognised Greenhouse Gas Protocol and independently assured by Climate Wise, ensuring our reporting is transparent, accurate and accountable.

Our sustainability programme focuses on practical improvements that reduce our environmental impact while supporting our long-term commitment to Net Zero.
