Client: IAB UK
The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB UK) is the industry body for digital advertising, committed to building a better future for digital advertising, for the benefit of everyone. We do this by bringing the industry together - with members including media owners, agencies and brands - to tackle and address vital issues, show what great advertising can do, and help businesses prepare for the future.
The Gold Standard brings together industry tools and frameworks to reduce ad fraud; improve the digital advertising experience; uphold brand safety; support compliance with GDPR and e-privacy; and help reduce carbon emissions in the digital advertising supply chain.
Objective:
IAB engaged us to review their internal management processes to certify IAB members for the Gold Standard.
Outcome:
We concluded that the IAB UK internal management processes and controls for the Gold Standard were designed and operating effectively.
Our work did not provide assurance on the compliance status of current Gold Standard members.
Our report was issued in May 2024
The Gold Standard is a vital industry initiative that improves the safety and performance of digital advertising for all parties, not least consumers. Its value to our industry has only increased over the past year as we’ve continued to evolve the criteria and seen the initiative become an integral part of the Online Advertising Taskforce’s work.
