ABC streamlines Standards and reflects digital shift
Thursday 5th May 2025 - Industry-owned auditor ABC has announced significant updates to its reporting standards that reflect the current media landscape and better recognise the publishing industry’s digital transformation.
The new standards, which come into effect for periods ending June 2025, are the result of extensive consultations with buyers, publishers and their industry bodies, and the changes are publicly supported by the IPA, the PPA and the NMA.

-
Create efficiencies for publishers that support the delivery of ABC figures
-
Ensure ABC figures stay relevant and valued by buyers and sellers, supporting trade in today’s publishing market

The certificate will remain familiar, with all the trust and industry backing as before. For those claiming digital there will be a clear statement about the number of individuals who received both a print and digital copy.
