The Retail Media Certification Programme is an industry-first, set to deliver new standards for transparency and accountability in retail media measurement. It will enable Retail Media Networks to demonstrate best practice to brands and agencies and is set for full release in early 2025.
Retail media is a rapidly growing channel with immense potential, although 70% of buyers surveyed by IAB Europe cited a lack of industry standards as a barrier to investment. IAB Europe has addressed this by launching the Retail Media Certification Programme which delivers the standardised measurement and reassurance buyers need to invest confidently in this channel.
The new certification scheme will establish a clear framework for measuring retail media performance. ABC will independently verify that retail media networks adhere to these standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
