In 2006, when we collaborated with the IAB US to create the IAB/ABC International Spiders and Bots List, we at ABC saw that invalid traffic was inflating online figures by as much as 60%. What we didn’t know was that 10 years later it would be costing the ad industry £5.5billion in wasted display revenue, according to research company Forrester.

ABC, the leading UK digital verification expert and Joint Industry Currency for media measurement, has been authorised by the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG), an advertising industry initiative to fight criminal activity in the digital advertising supply chain, as an outside auditor for its “TAG Certified Against Fraud,” “TAG Certified Against Piracy,” and “TAG Certified Against Malware” Programs. As an independent verification provider, ABC UK will ensure that companies have met the rigorous standards for each program and are qualified to receive a TAG Seal in the relevant area.

Global leads the way for Digital Audio Brand Safety – First media owner in digital audio to receive JICWEBS accreditation.
The Joint Industry Committee for Web Standards (JICWEBS) has awarded Global, the Media & Entertainment group, certification for its brand safety standards and measures to tackle digital ad fraud. Global is the first media owner in digital audio to achieve this.
